"Voldemort is tightening his grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry suspects that dangers may even lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. Together they work to find the key to unlock Voldemort's defenses and, to this end, Dumbledore recruits his old friend and colleague, the well-connected and unsuspecting bon vivant Professor Horace Slughorn, whom he believes holds crucial information. Meanwhile, the students are under attack from a very different adversary as teenage hormones rage across the ramparts. Harry finds himself more and more drawn to Ginny, but so is Dean Thomas. And Lavender Brown has decided that Ron is the one for her, only she hadn't counted on Romilda Vane's chocolates! And then there's Hermione, simmering with jealousy but determined not to show her feelings. As romance blossoms, one student remains aloof. He is determined to make his mark, albeit a dark one. Love is in the air, but tragedy lies ahead and Hogwarts may never be the same again. " -- Yahoo! Movies
Dada and I watched this in TriNoma, hoping that we could get the best seats --- the lazy boys. Unfortunately, we came in a bit late and six out of seven movie houses showing HP6 were jam-packed!!! Each of the ticket counters had people falling in line maybe for up to 20 meters. It took us about 30 minutes before we got our ticket and we availed the not-so-good seats for the 2nd screening already.
The movie was long, and -- like always -- had more characters introduced. It's really a pain to remember names especially for someone like me who has never read any of the HP books. There were so many things discussed and it made me dizzy. I am not an HP fan and I told Dada that I wanted to watch this movie just for the sake of not being left out.
IMO, there was nothing much to be excited about but the Snape character and how Voldemort managed to "live".

"The sub zero heroes are back. Scrat is still trying to nab the ever elusive nut, while maybe finding true love. Manny and Ellie await the birth of their mini-mammoth. Diego the saber toothed tiger wonders if he's growing too soft and Sid the sloth gets into trouble when he creates his own makeshift family by hijacking some dinosaur eggs. On a mission to rescue the hapless Sid, the gang ventures into a mysterious underground world, where they have some close encounters with dinosaurs, battle flora and fauna, run amuck and meet a relentless, one eyed, dino-hunting weasel named Buck." -- Yahoo! Movies
We have been anticipating this movie together with PIXAR's "Up" ... It had been a veeeerrryyyy long wait but it was somehow worth it. There were many funny moments. It also brought back my inquisitiveness for dinosaurs. Although, it was not as epic as the first movie and many things in this movie appear illogical.

"With the help of the Autobots, the soldiers of NEST, and an old adversary-turned-ally, Sam and Mikaela must uncover the secret history of the Transformers presence on earth, and the sacrifices that have to be made to save it from an ancient threat sworn on returning here for revenge... an ancient Decepticon named THE FALLEN." -- Yahoo! Movies
It was great seeing Shia Labeouf back in action. I like his voice and it makes me laugh when he babbles! It reminds me of the penguin he portrayed in Surf's Up [link]. Megan Fox's eyes are to be envied. *sigh*
Anyway, the movie itself was very entertaining but it didn't have the "Wow!" factor that the prequel had.

"When California girl Susan Murphy is unwittingly clobbered by a meteor full of outer space gunk on her wedding day, she mysteriously grows to 49-feet-11-inches tall. Alerted to the threat of this new monster, the military jumps into action and Susan is captured and secreted away to a covert government compound. There, she is renamed Ginormica and placed in confinement with a ragtag group of other monsters: the brilliant but insect-headed Dr. Cockroach, Ph.D.; the macho half-ape, half-fish The Missing Link; the gelatinous and indestructible B.O.B.; and the 350-foot grub called Insectosaurus. Their confinement is cut short, however, when a mysterious alien robot lands on Earth and begins storming the country. In a moment of desperation, The President is persuaded by General W.R. Monger to enlist the motley crew of Monsters to combat the Alien Robot and save the world from imminent destruction." Yahoo Movies
The trailers were so funny that's why I wanted to watch this Dreamworks product. There were so many things I didn't expect!
The Beverly Hills Cop theme "Axel F" revealed my age! LoL! The President reminded me of my former boss - they have an uncanny physical resemblance! XD
Although the background of each character was funny and unique, the whole plot was very predictable. So, aside from the animation and the inside jokes, there's nothing much to look at.

"A man signs up for a self-help program based on one simple principle: say yes to everything... and anything. At first, unleashing the power of "yes" transforms his life in amazing and unexpected ways, but he soon discovers that opening up his life to endless possibilities can have its drawbacks" -- Yahoo Movies
I can't imagine myself saying "YES" to every request people ask of me. I just CAN'T! Anyway, this is soooooooo hilarious! It's a good come-back film of Jim Carrey. Although movie critics didn't give it praise, I still enjoyed watching it. Zooey Deschanel's clothes are TOTAL LUV! Especially her black coat with red linings. OMG! I want one~~~

Dada and I watched two movies this week. The first one was "Star Wars : The Clone Wars" and the next was "Big Stan". We were supposed to watch "WALL-E" but decided not to because we were in Glorietta-4 and it's showing in Greenbelt.
Star Wars was good but I didn't understand the movie so much. It's fully animated and it still has the old SW feel. Anakin looks weird and is not his usual self here. It also introduces a new character but I forgot her name! She's a padawan. Yes, it's a "SHE".
Big Stan was hilarious! Nuff said. XD

License to Wed has received countless criticisms over the internet because of its cheesy storyline and so-so acting. Nonetheless, I enjoyed watching it.
I was able to relate to the story. In fact, Sadie Jones (Mandy Moore) and I have so many similarities... particularly in asking opinions. She will ask her fiancé, Ben Murphy (John Krasinski), to pick an item from her list of choices but when Ben gives an answer, she will choose the other one.
It was similar to me and my boyfriend's case. I was asking him where we wanted to go and spend our date. He said he wanted to visit the Gateway mall in Cubao because he heard that it's a good place... but then I told him I wanted to go to TriNoma because I like their movie house better. He then said, "If you already have an answer to your question, don't ask for my opinion anymore." XD

6th Toys, Hobbies and Collectibles Convention
I arrived in Megamall shortly after 11 AM and I headed to the Megatrade Hall to get a ticket. I received a phone call from Dada and he told me that we can't meet up as he's got a lot of chores to do. Of course, I got so pissed off when our conversation ended.
I took out my camera and started roaming around the hall. I texted a couple of people, telling them that I am there to watch the cosplay and such. I wasn't able to buy any souvenirs --- they all look like "the usual" to me. Some of the action figures are good but are too darn expensive!
My lunch was a 40 buck hotdog on a bun and a 30 peso worth of chocolate drink. The food was quite costly, and I thought that I should've bought a katsudon in Komoro Soba instead. Sigh, but I was too lazy to go outside the convent area.
I saw some familiar faces there including Ben (a college club-buddy) and Junell (my officemate). I often texted Kuya Lawrence too to ask some photography tips.
After about 2 hours, I got a call from Dada again and he told me that he's on his way to Megamall. Apparently, he was able to finish his chores and he wants our date to push through (... and that's coz I got angry at him, he said). Around 2:30PM, I left the Megatrade Hall and headed to Komoro Soba where he's waiting. Shucks! The Megatrade Hall is on the 5th of Building B floor while Komoro Soba is on the 1st floor of the Building A! Hiningal ako kakalakad!
Fantastic Four : Rise of the Silver Surfer
The SM Cinemas are jampacked with people and the counter lady said there's no more room in the 2:40 time slot. We got a ticket for the 3:45 slot instead. I was still pissed off so Dada and I barely talked, until about the first quarter of the movie... but then I thought that there's no point to it because he made an effort of coming there and spend time with me even though he's tired... So I hugged him and I said "sorry."
As for the movie... Well, it looked better as a trailer. Hahaha! The Silver Surfer is AWESOME, though! He even hogged more attention than the main characters themselves. Hahaha! Stan Lee's cameo appearance is also hilarious! XD

We watched a few more trailers before leaving the movie house. I became too emotional when I saw "The Invisible" trailer as it reminded me of how my Lupin-sempai died a few years back...
Dada and I had dinner in Komoro Soba and talked about lots of stuff, especially about his new job and how we're gonna manage our schedules once he starts working. Sigh, I hope everything works out well for us.
He invited me to his niece's christening next week. Thank goodie, I'll be able to spend time with him again. ^_^
"What are the odds of getting even? Danny Ocean and the gang would have only one reason to pull off their most ambitious and riskiest casino heist--to defend one of their own. But they’re going to need more than luck on their side to break The Bank.Ruthless casino owner Willy Bank never imagined that the odds were against him when he double-crossed Danny Ocean’s friend and mentor Reuben Tishkoff, putting the distraught Reuben in a hospital bed in critical condition. But Bank miscalculated--badly. He may have taken down one of the original Ocean’s eleven, but he left the others standing and, worse for him, gave them a shared purpose: to take Bank down on the night of what should be his greatest triumph--the grand opening of his new casino, appropriately named The Bank. Their strategy is twofold. First they will ruin him financially by turning the tables on the precept that the house always wins. But that’s just money. The knockout punch will be to Bank’s personal pride and joy: his reputation as the only hotelier who has earned the Royal Review Board’s Five Diamond Award on every single one of his hotels. The plan is elaborate, dangerous and damn near impossible--but there are no limits when it comes to one of their own." --- Yahoo! Movies
Dada convinced me to watch this movie although I haven't seen Ocean's 11 and 12. I'm not really into the Crime/Gangster genre but this one really made me laugh a lot so I guess it's okay.
