A lot of people said that this movie is a "must-watch" and that they were "blown away" by the stunning visual effects so I also thought of watching it even though I didn't like the trailer.

Dada said he gets dizzy with 3D so we just went to a regular cinema. I plan to watch it in 3D with my sib come New Year.

Pandora is a primitive and hostile planet with lush supplies of unobtainium. One of its inhabitants is a tribe called the Na'vi. They can communicate or "bond" with everything around them by linking their hair strands (weird but fresh concept LoL). Apart from that, it's just a Pocahontas remake and nothing more. The story is very predictable.

Animation that is not for kids . . .

Disney's A Christmas Carol

Disney's "A Christmas Carol" is something that I anticipated considering that 1) it's a Disney film, 2) it's got top-notch animation and 3) it stars Jim Carrey!

Unfortunately, how the story was told and how some of the actors mimic the British accent killed everything.

Visual effects are stunning than their previous ones. The story is old but I don't know it. Nonetheless, I wasn't able to appreciate it. Rendition is boring and sometimes scary. There's nothing fresh here.

24/7 Jacket yr 2008

After the bad experience I had with Teletech [link to "Teletech : Enconuim and Censure . . ."], I went to 24/7 with thoughts of getting better opportunities and satisfaction with my job. All that 24/7 offered was 15% great pay, 5% opportunities to move up and 80% false hopes. The most I got here is bitterness.

Great Pay! Yes, VERY --- if you are part of the first few waves. This is their technique when trying to "pirate" people from other companies. Since most people go to call centers because the money is there, they get easily attracted.

Opportunities! Wow! Yeah, if you're part of the first wave then it's very easy to get promoted. Other than that, it's not worth trying. Anyway, I was not after this.

Benefits!!! They offer the crappiest HMOs in the Metro. Although I was able to use them a lot because I often go to the hospital for checkups. I always got sick while I was in the company. I was in the hospital at least two times every month! [link to "AH1N1??!"] [link to "Second Wave of Ailments"] Vacation Leaves were very hard to file, since there were so many agents and so little slots per day. Even applying for a VL on holidays became so much of a burden because it became a race/contest. They also implemented a rule that if an agent has 5 leaves without pay in one calendar month, he/she will not receive any credits the following month. LoL! Stupid, right? I know that VLs are a privilege that they give but there's always an if-then-else statement attached. People need to work their @$$ off or kiss someone else's @$$ in order to make the most out of these benefits.

Shifting schedules : Although this is a part of the job description, I still didn't find 24/7's scheduling system just. Schedule changes after four weeks, sometimes two weeks. Actually, no... it changes daily because every week, there's a 90% chance that the start of our shifts are several minutes or an hour apart from each other (eg. Monday shift starts @ 5am, then Tuesday shift starts at 4:15am, then Wednesday is 3:15am.. etc). Even the breaks and lunches are unjust. Most of the time, our first break would be an hour after we log in. Then the lunches will follow after another hour. After that, we'd be on the phone for two hours before we take our last break, then another three hours on the phone before we logout.

Crappy equipment: There were no concrete sleeping quarters. The lobby or "interview area" is where we slept at night. Although, erratically, the guards would shoo us away because it had to be cleaned or there's a client on the floor so they had to light up all the rooms. I think this happened to me quite often so I had to go home and skip work. I do not want to take in calls and get stressed when I have no rest at all. We did not have our own headsets too that's why we had to stick with the one-earpiece headset they have in the office. It was really hard! I always thought that I'd go deaf.

Integrity is nil. Mediocrity is abundant. The management often say contradicting things or tell their agents false hopes. When we asked the higher ups about our concerns, they will often say "Business needs."

There were plenty of instances wherein I wanted to quit but I felt anxious because I couldn't let go of the high salary. I lost MUCH of my social life while I was there. My boyfriend and I had many arguments about work. My colleagues also tell me that I have become very cranky since I lack sleep most of the time. I have become sickly, detached and bitter. I grew so tired of everything that I'd often slack off and wished to be termed already so I can escape.

November 22, 2009 ... I was told by my TL not to login anymore and I was terminated due to call avoidance, which is a grave offense in any call center. It's actually something that I knew coming but I didn't feel remorse or any disappointment. I accepted it rather than experiencing another Pyrrhic victory. I left the company smiling.

I found one of my old diaries while I was cleaning my room. That diary contained mostly what happened during my first year in college. Some are good, some are bad, some are enraging...

I told Dan that I wanted to get even with the people who bullied us in school, since a lot of them thought of us as unpopular nerds. Dan said being bitter is a waste of time and plotting revenge would be like fighting pieces of trash.

He said that some of those who bullied us are now in much worse situations. One of them is now a drug addict, two or three of them got impregnated during college, some of them became mere salespeople.

I guess he has a point. Even if we served as laughing stock during those days, we should also be thankful that we did not end up like them.

Second wave of ailments . . .

September 26 ... It was the fourth time I experienced serious palpitations. The first three were probably triggered by drinking too much coffee-vanilla. The latest was caused by the argument I had with my boyfriend during Ondoy [link to "Perfect Storm"].

October 2 ... I went to Medical City (SM Fairview) to have my heart checked up. The cardiologist suspected a lot of causes (kidney, thyroid, lungs, blood, heart, caffeine intake and anxiety attacks). It was the beginning of a series of other check ups.

October 11 ... I skipped work again because I had a 2D-ECHO scheduled. This was my first time taking that lab test and I almost freaked out when my heart made some weird noises! LoL! I also had a blood sample taken, an X-Ray and ECG.

October 16 ... I had rhinitis and I could barely breathe through my nose. This was probably caused by the unpredictable weather conditions. I went to the clinic three times. Despite that, the company nurse refused to send me home early and my supervisor cannot do anything about it. It was one of the most irritating times of my life.

October 17 ... I skipped work again and went back to Medical City. By this time, I've already recognized the nurses and they too have become familiar with me. The ENT doctor gave me 1 day of bed rest. I met up with Jeiro to lend her my red wig. I was also happy when I told her that I can go to EK the next day!!! I also told Dada about it. He was against it at first but we settled it. I really love him! ♥

October 18 ... I woke up and my rhinitis is gone --- so was my voice! That didn't prevent me from going to the Enchanted Kingdom though! Even without a voice, I can still have fun! [link to "OtakonEK 2009"]

October 19 ... I skipped work again to meet up with the cardiologist. All tests indicated that I am very healthy - especially my heart. She wanted me to take Pulmonary tests but I cannot afford anymore time on it unless I file a long medical leave. The bills also amounted to P15k (that's about 315 US dollars) so I am very thankful because we have MediCard (HMO). I just concluded that it might be my anxieties causing everything.

October 21-24 ... I was absent the whole week because my voice has not fully recovered. I went back to the ENT and he diagnosed that it's an acute laryngitis. The Operations Manager then asked for a "Fit-to-work" certificate. I never filed any.

November 7 ... My sleeping problems has taken its toll. While I was taking a nap, I experienced "Sleep Paralysis" and it was one of the most terrifying things that happened to me. It wasn't just because I couldn't move nor talk during that ordeal, I was also having auditory hallucinations. I was really scared! I am very grateful to my boyfriend because he was the one who woke me up. If he wasn't there, I might've died. [link to "Hypnagogia . . ."]

Trip to Enchanted Kingdom - OtakonEK 2009 ! ! !

Mr. and Mrs. Enchanted (2) ?!

Event : OtakonEK 2009
Date : October 18, 2009
Venue : Enchanted Kingdom

Last year, I said that OtakonEK will be my pilgrimage because Azrael confirmed that this will happen every September. OtakonEK was a bit postponed this year due to typhoon Ondoy (Ketsana) [link, viewable by family & friends only], which hit the country a day before its actual date. I also thought that I won't be able to attend because of my work's schedule. As if luck was really on my side, I had an acute laryngitis which became my excuse for skipping our shift. Even without a voice, I can still have fun!!! Dada was against it at first but when I explained to him that I have been planning this for the longest, he then allowed me to go. Wheee!!!

Leidi and Prinny

Jeiro and Lora went to EK wearing Pirate costumes while Leidi and I were just wearing casual clothes. I planned on donning the Scarlet gown [link], but I realized that it would be too cumbersome and I don't want to pose for pictures there (yeah, I have issues).

Leidi and I missed both the 10:30AM and 12:30NN shuttles so we had to commute going to Sta.Rosa, Laguna. I was thinking that if something else goes wrong or if we get lost, we might not make it to EK! During those times, I realized that people can either be complete @$$h073S or be very helpful to the needy. Some people took advantage of the situation and charged us too high for fares, while some are very kind to point us the fastest routes and tell us the actual rates.

Smile before the Scream!

We arrived in EK around 1:30PM and immediately stashed our bags in the locker area. Leidi was a bit reminiscing because she said that the last time she's been there was when she was ten. It was time for her to feel the thrills of the rides she missed during her elementary years! LOL!

1) Roller Skater (mini roller coaster) -- Leidi wanted to try Dodgem (bump cars) but I told her that it's too boring so as an appetizer, I took her here. I think she had fun. Hehe~

2) Anchor's Away (swaying pirate ship) -- The line was pretty long and we waited for about 10 minutes before our turn. While standing in line, Leidi felt scared as she heard the screams and wanted to back out. I firmly told her "NO! We are going to take the topmost seats! You see blood everyday [you're a nurse-to-be!] and you can't handle this?!" Hehehe~ Of course, people go to EK to experience the thrills and I want nothing less. While the ship was swaying back and forth, Leidi got really scared at tinawag na niya ang lahat ng mga santo! LoL! She screamed "OH MY GOD -TAMA NA - SHET - ANG PUSO KO - LORD - OPERATOR - STOP - AAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!" all in one breath! LoL!

3) Grand Carousel - no lines, I wonder why? LoL!

4) Flying Fiesta (wave swinger) - Leidi said that if she survived Anchor's Away, she can survive anything! LoL!

Sky Wizards 2009

5) Wheel of Fate (giant ferris wheel) - it was our time to relax a bit and enjoy the view.

6) Rialto (motion sim theater - feat. Speed Racer) - if my reaction to Sponge Bob was "That was it?!" for Speed Racer it was "What the fn(K"?!"

7) Jungle Log Jam (log flumes) - We didn't get wet. It was still cold, though.

8) Rio Grande Rapids (river rafting) - We were VEERRRRYYYYYY WET! LoL!

Despite the fact that we arrived late, we still managed to try out eight rides. This is my best record as of late. LoL! The Space Shuttle is undergoing maintenance so Leidi wasn't able to feel what it's like being the signature ride of EK. Nonetheless, we're able to watch the Sky Wizard fireworks display contest. The entry that we liked was #11.

MMORPG that I play / played ~ ~ ~ (Part 1)

Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games (MMORPG) is a type of game that allows hundreds, thousands or perhaps even millions of people on a large area to gather around, interact and play in a virtual world simultaneously. Some MMORPG's last for years and hold events like tournaments and guild meetings.

This contains the MMORPG's that I have played and are currently playing. (yes, quite a long list!)

Philippine Ragnarok Online [link]

The Family

pRO is the mother of all MMORPG's in the Philippines (well, OzWorld was the first MMO here but I don't know if it's considered an RPG or just merely a chat game)!!! I was one of the ßeta players of pRO. Back then, only 100 people were playing in the Chaos server. It was really fun and I got a chance to speak with the GM's in-game and IRL. I also took part in the events and even won an artbook signed by Myoung-Jin Lee (creator of the Ragnarok manhwa).

The avatars of pRO are 2D isometric figures roaming around in a 3D environment. There are numerous job classes available and thousands of equipment to choose from. Only the head gears, weapons and shields are visible, though. The armors stay the same and you can never tell what armors a player has until you hit him/her with all your might.

The pets are tamed monsters from different maps. I know I've collected ALL of the available pets in-game. LoL! During the ßeta days of pRO, it was hard to tell if a pet was hungry or not because there are no indicators. Still, all of my pets stayed with me, became loyal and very talkative so I know I took good care of them!

These are the characters I have in pRO (in order of appearance) ... they also appeared in several pRO fanfics/fanarts I made:

CHAOS SERVER:

Meiko of Chaos

1) Meiko (Knight) - a.k.a "Meiko of Chaos" ... She is a hybrid STR-VIT knight who usually travelled alone. She was my ßeta character and one of the cutest! After a long hiatus from the Chaos server, a lot of people still recognized her when I did a short comeback. Yeah, she was very famous back then. LOL!

The story I created for her was that she's a "partial soul" of an elf who fell in love with a human priest. In the fanfics I made, she always carries a plush doll of that priest. She often visited Raxis in his dreams and showed him the paths to take on their journeys.

2) Meifa - She is my mage-turned-archer character. She never reached 2nd job because I had to stop pRO for a while.

The side story I created for her was that she's the wife of Hans Von Kroft (my ex-boyfriend's Merchant) who ran an inn where Jayle works for.

IRIS SERVER:

Danaera

1) - Rain - - She is my Magnus Exorcismus Priest, the Ultimate Ghost Buster! Yeah, she travelled with boss hunters a lot as she can both be a support character and an Undead Killer. Hehehe~

In my fanfics, she served as caretaker of Meiko (Wizard) and blocks all of her suitors. Not that she's a lesbian or anything... She just wants the "partial soul" to find the other halves of herself.

2) Danaera - She is my most famous character and is well-loved by everybody. Who wouldn't love a Full-Support priestess? LoL! She's one of the few characters who had a Glast Heim warp portal (until LUG erased it! GRRR!). With her, I met a lot of friends both online and IRL.

In my fanfics, she is a kidergarten teacher in Prontera who's married to a Hunter named Rèéds. She initially taught Jayle the Play Dead and First Aid skills. LOL!

3.a) Meiko (Wizard) - She is an INT-VIT wizard which I used for the first half of my playtime in IRIS. Unfortunately, her build isn't too useful in the longrun so I had to delete her.

In the fanfic I made, she is very calm and reserved. She knows that she is only a "partial soul" but she refuses to merge with the others.

Meiko of Iris

3.b) Meiko (Hunter) - a.k.a. "Meiko of Iris" ... She is my full DEX huntress. She's supposed-to-be my main character but it's uber hard to level her up alone. She's a good trapper, though.

In my fanfics, she's the another "partial soul" of the elf who fell in love with a human. She doesn't recall any memory of her past and she's a real b!+ch to strangers. She serves as the Head Huntress in Payon and guardian of Peone (the wife of Payon's ruler in the Ragnarok Manhwa).

Jayle

4) ~Jayle~ - She is my Overcharge-Discount (OC-DC) Merchant and is the main reason why all my characters have money. LOL! I initially wanted her to be a Crusader but my boyfriend told me that it's best to have a Merchant as part of my stable of characters. At that time, Jayle was the only available candidate.

In my fanfics, she is my main character. She started out as a novice who wanted to become part of Prontera's elite goup of Kights, like her idol, Meiko of Chaos. She travelled a lot with Raxis in search for clues on how they can return to their own dimension and she fell in love with him in the process. She gave up her dream of becoming a knight and helped the Von Krofts running their inn.

5) Elaise - she is a CRIT Knight I made for farming purposes.

In my fanfics, Elaise is the name of the elf who fell in love with a Priest. They were supposed to escape Geffenia when a curse was put on her, causing her souls to scatter around Midgard.

Yanagi Sakoshida

Pink Soda

6) Yanagi Sakoshida - She is my INT-DEX ninja

In the fanfics, she is also in love with Raxis and she proclaimed herself as his girlfriend - which really annoys Jayle.

7) Pink Soda - She is my Gun Slinger. I made her just for fun. She retired early. LoL! She's not a part in my fanfics.

My Boyfriend's Characters :

Deers

1) Deers - He was originally intended as a Magnus Priest but when Dada recreated the character, he decided to go full-support for my huntress, Meiko. When Dada quit pRO, I still used Deers to help me finish quests and serve as a tanker.

In my fanfics, Deers is the human who fell in love with Elaise. He escaped the ordeal in Geffenia and promised to bring Elaise back to life by collecting all of her "partial souls". In his quest to do so, he often crosses paths with Raxis and Jayle.

IRL, this is the Priest that Dada was supposed to bless me in my in-game wedding. Turned out, this priest ran away with the bride! LOL!

2) Rèéds - He is a DEX-LUK Hunter. His arrow damage isn't that strong as pure DEX hunters but it's greatly compensated by his Falcon. A lot of people in Glast Heim are annoyed at him due to his Auto-Blitz's persistence. LOL! Because of that, she is Danaera's favorite party member. XD

In my fanfic, he never appeared but Danaera did mention his name in one of her classes.

3) Riverstine - He is a CRIT knight that Dada used for farming and PvP purposes. He's also not part of any fanfic I made but I used his name in place of "Deers"

Raxis

4) Raxis - He is a Ninja I created when I tried maintaining Dada's account. I didn't use him much.

In my fanfics, Raxis is an Assassin who was drawn to Jayle in his quest to return to their own dimension. They first had a bit of an argument but when things got settled, he promised to assist Jayle in every way he can. Raxis is the one who holds Lucifer's Lament, a key that can open the gates of ancient Geffenia. That's why Deers is always after him (much to his annoyance) even though he always rejects him .

In my revised fanfic, I'm planning to make Raxis a Sage, to explain the reason why he can both wield a sword and cast magic spells.

This is also the most memorable game I played, as this is where I found my new love. My ex-boyfriend and I were supposed to be wed before he goes abroad but after several months of planning, "The Priest Ran Away with the Bride!" Hahaha, yeah, that's how it started.

I stopped playing pRO in two occasions. First time I halted was right after the ßeta days because I lost my job and got busy helping with my mom's business. When I had the chance, I went back in the Iris server and stayed for another year. I completely halted playing pRO when I got swamped with work and was introduced to other MMO's.

Perfect Storm . . .

Flood . . .

Metro Manila was submerged in a 6-month worth of rainfall in just one day. It was flooded everywhere. The city was paralyzed. There were confusion, ruins and death tolls. Everyone was caught in Typhoon Ondoy's (Ketsana's) rage, massively in scale or otherwise. I am not going to go to the details as to how much damage this storm has caused. A lot of people already contributed to that.

Anyway, I wanted a perfect date with my boyfriend and we set a meet-up in Cubao at 9 AM. Unfortunately, the flood prevented him from getting there on time. I waited for an hour in our meeting place and I was (pissed off) just about ready to go home when he called and said he's stranded due to the flood. Still, the first part of our date went well. We kept ourselves warm.

Around 9 PM, we're supposed to have dinner in a famous fast food but we were surprised to find out that it's closed. A 24-hour store --- closed. When we looked around, the streets were empty. The usual city full of hustle and bustle was as quiet as the scene in I Am Legend. Only the MRT was operational and a handful of buses. Good thing my MRT ticket is still working. Dada and I went to his office to spend the night together.

Dada bought MiniStop meals for dinner since it's the only store open. I was hoping it would be a good night, but it didn't. Since Jasper (Dada's friend and co-worker) was unable to go to work, Dada had to fill in for him.

I was trying to talk to Dada but as soon as he sat on his station, his aura changed. I was asking him some things and he was stoic, either that or his replies were not related to what I was telling/asking him. It was weird so I got pissed off and proceeded to the conference room to listen to my fave music. He followed me there but, I dunno what happened, he walked out - looking pissed off too. He returned after a couple of minutes, handed his pillows and jacket to me, then left me there.

I was being hard-headed when I told myself "He thinks he's the only one who can act tough? I wasn't this fragile before he came to my life." I stashed my things, left his belongings in the conference room and headed to the exit. I was in front of the glass door when I stopped and turned around. I went to Dada's station and kissed him while I told him "I'm going..." then left their office. He followed me around but I acted like he's not there. I ignored him even though it hurts. I wanted to make him realize how a jerk he was for making me feel that way. I guess he didn't get it.

I rode a cab going to 24/7. When I got there, I met our OM in the elevator. He was smiling and thanked me for making it (even though I informed him and my TL that I would be absent). When I reached the floor, only 15 agents were there. Only my Team Leader and I were present on our team. We were given food as a "Thank you!" for making it despite the weather... and, despite the lack of manpower, the Workforce still added call volumes. The agents said there was a 40-minute avail. That went down to zero as soon as I logged in.

I sent Dada text messages while I was taking in calls.

Me: You are a jerk.
Dada: You went to the conference room without saying anything, and I am the jerk?
Me: I can't talk to you properly when you're in front of a computer.
Dada: I am working. I told you wala na game sa PSP. Ang natira is my RPG. Kaya sabi ko buksan mo na lang PC. Tapos bigla ka na lang nawala. Ayoko na ng away. I am tired and I lack sleep. Ikaw din. Usap na lang pag pareho na malamig ulo. Love u. Text you when I get home.

During my last call, I felt heavy palpitations and numbness in my chest. I went to the clinic during my break and the nurse had that weird look on her face. I thought she was thinking that I may be faking it but I was wrong. She had me rest for 20 minutes then she approached my TL. She observed my pulse rate and she said it's alarmingly increasing by the minute. She handed a letter to my TL and she advised me to be sent home ASAP.

After I logged out from my station, my TL gave me some tasks on how to update our stats since he will be on vacation starting tomorrow. He was curious as to what triggered my tension so I told him what happened.

TL: I trust you so I'm counting on you regarding updating these stats.
Me: I hate you.
TL: Whaaaaaaat?! I say I trust you and you say you hate me?
Me: I hate responsibilities.
*laughter*
TL: I know you can do this.
Me: Okay...
*silence*
TL: You know, you might've been a jerk too.
Me: WHAAAAAAATTTT?!?!?!?
TL: Guys are absorbed by their routine and more often than not, don't want that routine cut off while they're at it. When they're doing a task, they will not stop unless they finish that task. If you disturb them, their train of thought gets busted.
Me: *silent and almost crying*
TL: You see... Guys are not good at guessing. You need to be vocal about what you feel.
Me: Thanks for the advice.

I left the office around 4 AM and had a brief chat with Dada around 6:30 AM when I got home. I was asking him if he wanted to talk over breakfast but he said he ran out of load and was not able to send me his reply. I told him "there's always a next time."

When he got home, he called me up and I can tell that he's still angry. Like always, I said "sorry" to him. I do mean it, but I still want to talk about it when we have more time.
